Ashley Tews
Ashley Tews is a Senior Research Scientist with CSIRO's Autonomous Systems Laboratory. He has lead a number of robotics and automation projects including automating a 20 tonne forklift for use in aluminium smelters. His current research interests are in multi-modal sensor approaches for detecting and tracking wild animals from static and mobile intelligent autonomous systems over long periods of time (e.g. seasons) towards achieving greater understanding of habits and behaviours extending the scope of existing highly manual procedures.
