Kieren J Mitchell
Dr Kieren Mitchell is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Adelaide's Australian Centre for Ancient DNA. He specialises in ancient DNA analyses of extinct and non-model organisms. Examples include the Madagascan elephant birds (Aepyornis & Mullerornis), South American giant short-faced bears (Arctotherium) and glyptodonts (Doedicurus), and Pleistocene species of kangaroo (Simosthenurus & Protemnodon). His current projects focus on faunal species and communities from Australia, North America, and Eurasia.
