Carly Waterman

Carly Waterman is a Pangolin Technical Specialist based at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL). She also serves as the Programme Officer and IUCN Red List Co-ordinator for the IUCN SSC Pangolin Specialist Group. Carly provides technical support to a wide-range of pangolin-focused projects, including conservation research and planning, site-based protection, community engagement and behaviour change initiatives. Carly has a degree in Behavioural Science and, prior to her current role, spent more than ten years managing ZSL’s EDGE of Existence programme, which supports initiatives to research and conserve the world’s most Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) species, including pangolins.
